His passion is tennis and he saw an enormous opportunity for enticing new players to join the sport and creating pathways for them to get better, play matches, and stay in it for life. Rich says, "It is an unfortunate reality that most adult beginners leave the sport again after less than a year of playing. The reasons are a general feeling of being in an unwelcoming sport and very few match play opportunities for beginners. Conga Sports is going to change that with new programs and events for novices and all levels of tennis players."

Rich saw another opportunity for junior players who are serious about their sport but at the same time are not quite ready for serious competition. "We are currently putting together a program for kids who just need match play experience without the pressure of chasing points and without the need for anyone to resort to cheating." Since cheating in junior tennis is a huge problem and makes the majority of kids leave the sport after playing just a few USTA tournaments, Conga Sports is creating an environment where cheating is neither possible nor needed to have fun on a tennis court.
