Industry-leading initiative TENNIS AMBASSADOR gives underserved communities access to innovative tennis equipment

Conga Sports brings Slinger®, HEAD Penn Racquet Sports, and the Billie Jean King Eye Coach to Chicago’s ‘The Ace Project’

Los Angeles, July 5, 2022 – Conga Sports Inc, provider of new fun and exciting tennis programs, today announced the selection of Chicago-based The Ace Project as the recipient of the first TENNIS AMBASSADOR Equipment Package to acknowledge their efforts in nurturing children living in underserved communities through tennis.

TENNIS AMBASSADOR unites three of the most innovative leaders in the tennis equipment industry, Slinger®, HEAD Penn Racquet Sports, and the Billie Jean King Eye Coach with one goal in mind: bringing the most advanced technology to communities that really deserve it. The initiative, conceived and managed by Conga Sports President Rich Neher, will ship one complete Slinger Bag ball machine; one junior and one adult HEAD tennis racquet; one case of Penn tennis balls; and one Billie Jean King Eye Coach Home Tennis Training System each month for a period of one year to a pre-selected recipient.

“We have an opportunity to help tennis organizations and individuals in low-income communities where they need it most: with equipment,” says Neher. “I’m proud and happy to be part of this unique program.”

“We are thrilled to support The Ace Project in Chicago through the Tennis Ambassador Initiative,” said Mike Ballardie, CEO of Connexa Sports, the parent company of Slinger. “The Slinger Bag was designed to make tennis more accessible and enjoyable for players of all ages and abilities, and we are proud of any role we can play in getting new players on court and excited about tennis.”

“HEAD Penn Racquet Sports is excited to be a part of the Tennis Ambassador program, bringing performance tennis products to deserving communities,” said Allison Barnett, Brand Manager of HEAD Penn Racquet Sports. “The Ace Project is making a great impact in their community, and we are honored to play a part in supporting their efforts.”

“Our Chicago team is so grateful to Slinger®, HEAD Penn Racquet Sports, and the Billie Jean King Eye Coach for naming ACE as your Tennis Ambassador. With this equipment package, ACE youth will gain access to advanced technology that would otherwise be unavailable in our community,” says Susan Klumpner, Executive Director of The ACE Project.

Conga Sports Serious About Sustainability in the Sport of Tennis

Conga has signed up as business partner of ONE TREE PLANTED

Los Angeles, April 7, 2022 – Conga Sports Inc, a provider of tennis programs in California, announced a new initiative to alleviate the impact the sport of tennis has on the environment worldwide. Hundreds of millions of tennis balls are being manufactured each year and millions of those end up in landfills all over the world. While there is no large-scale program for recycling those balls, Conga Sports has started its own tennis ball initiative and signed up as Business Partner with One Tree Planted.

Conga Sports pledges to plant one tree for every can of tennis balls used within their programs.  “As part of our ONE MILLION TREES PLANTED BY 2030 goal, we’ll grow and conserve trees from the wildfire-ravaged areas in the United States to the deforested areas of the Amazon rainforest,“ said Conga Sports founder and president Rich Neher. “We will do our part to help accelerate reforestation efforts and mitigate the impacts of climate change.”

Conga Sports will also plant trees for every can of Spec Tennis low compression balls used in their programs. Neher continues, “They say the climate change crisis is the number one issue facing humanity today. Our partnership with One Tree Planted demonstrates how we are turning our sustainability commitment into meaningful community impact. That way we are already today doing our part toward a more sustainable future in racquet sports.”

Conga Sports introduces “Booster Tournaments” for underserved groups of tennis players

Lower-level tennis players and “returners” will have a venue to hone their skills and get ready for serious competition

Los Angeles, February 7, 2022 -- Conga Sports is excited to announce a series of new tennis tournaments called “Conga Boosters” in the Los Angeles area. Since Conga Sports is a licensed UTR Club, all Booster tournaments are being offered on the UTR platform

February 13 at Weddington Golf & Tennis in Studio City
March 13 at Warner Tennis Center in Woodland Hills

April 24 at Burbank Tennis Center in Burbank

Conga Sports Founder and President Rich Neher who is also the publisher of the monthly newsletter TENNIS CLUB BUSINESS, says, “Conga Boosters are friendly, fun, 3-hour Co-ed doubles events for players who are below intermediate level and not quite ready to play on serious league teams or high-pressure tournaments. In fact, there’s no pressure at all at our Boosters.”

The one-of-a-kind “Booster” experience starts with a free 30-minute clinic by a certified tennis professional followed by 4 sets of fun tennis with trophies for winners and finalists.

“Conga Boosters are also a great way for people who were absent from the sport for years or even decades to get back into tennis in a no-pressure, friendly environment,” says Neher.

More Boosters, as well as higher-level tournaments and leagues, are planned for all of California this year in an effort to make Conga Sports a household name, a nationwide network of tennis players, and facilities for matchplay, learning, and networking.
